Production
The Production feature is used to create new products as inventory items from other inventory materials. This process allows you to convert raw materials or components into finished goods for stock.
Step-by-Step Process for Production
- Select the Inventory & Assets menu, then click the Production submenu to open the Production window.
- Click the Insert button to start a new production process. The Production Editor window will appear.
- Fill in the Production Information section:
- Enter the production date in Date.
- Enter the production document number in Document #.
- Select the sub department consuming the materials in Sub Dept.
- Enter the employee requesting the production in Request By.
- Add any relevant notes in Remark.
- Add materials to be used in the Costing Detail Information section:
- Select the item in Item.
- The current stock will display in Stock.
- Enter the quantity in Quantity.
- Enter the unit of measure in UOM.
- Click Insert to add the item to the table.
- Repeat as needed to add more items.
- To edit a material item:
- Select the item in the detail table and click the Edit icon. The button will change to Save.
- The fields will populate with the selected item's data. Make the necessary changes.
- Click Save to update the item. The button will revert to Update.
- To delete a material item:
- Select the item in the table and click the Delete icon.
- The item will be removed from the list.
- Fill in the Receive Information (New Item) section:
- Select the store where the produced item will be stored in Store.
- Select the finished product in Item.
- Enter the quantity produced in Quantity.
- Select the unit of measure in UOM.
- To finish and save the production process, click Save.
