Inventory Item
Inventory Item is used to manage inventory item data. Items can have single or multi-level units of measurement (UOM).
What is an Inventory Item?
An Inventory Item represents a stock item in your inventory system. Each item can be assigned a category, unit of measurement, purchase and sell prices, barcode, stock limits, and remarks. Items can also have multiple UOMs for flexible stock management.
How to Add a New Inventory Item
- Go to Tools > Configurations > Inventory & Assets > Item.
- Click the Insert button to add a new inventory item.
- Fill in the Inventory Item Information:
- Code: Enter the item code.
- Name: Enter the item name.
- Category: Select the item category.
- Basic UOM: Select the basic unit of measurement.
- Purchase Price: Enter the purchase price.
- Sell Price: Enter the sell price.
- Barcode: Enter the barcode.
- Stock Minimum: Enter the minimum stock value.
- Stock Maximum: Enter the maximum stock value.
- Remark: Enter any relevant remarks about the item.
- Click Save & Close to save, or Close to cancel.
How to Update an Inventory Item
- Go to Tools > Configurations > Inventory & Assets > Item.
- Select the item to update and click the Update icon.
- Edit the fields as needed.
- Click Save to save changes, or Close to cancel.
How to Delete an Inventory Item
- Go to Tools > Configurations > Inventory & Assets > Item.
- Select the item to delete and click the Delete icon.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
- Click Yes to delete, or No to cancel.
How to Add Multi UOM (Multi Unit of Measurement)
- In the Inventory Item window, select the item and click the Insert (+) button in the Multi UOM group.
- In the Multi UOM editor window, fill in the details:
- Basic UOM: Select the basic unit of measurement.
- Quantity: Enter the quantity (calculated from the basic unit).
- Purchase Price: Enter the purchase price.
- Sell Price: Enter the sell price.
- Barcode: Enter the barcode.
- Click Save to save, or Close to cancel.
