Item Group
The Item Group configuration page allows you to manage groups of inventory items in your property. Properly managing item groups ensures efficient inventory organization and reporting.
What is an Item Group?
An Item Group is a classification for inventory items, such as "Beverages," "Cleaning Supplies," or "Office Equipment." Grouping items helps with stock management and reporting.
How to Add an Item Group
- In the Tools menu, select the Configurations submenu, then click Inventory & Assets and choose Item Group to open the window.
- Click the Insert button to add a new item group. The Item Group Editor window will appear.
- Enter the following data:
- Code: Item group code.
- Name: Name of the item group.
- Click Save to store the new item group, or Close to cancel.
How to Update an Item Group
- In the Tools menu, select the Configurations submenu, then click Inventory & Assets and choose Item Group.
- Select the item group you want to update, then click the Edit icon.
- Enter the new data as needed.
- Click Save to apply the changes, or Close to cancel.
How to Delete an Item Group
- In the Tools menu, select the Configurations submenu, then click Inventory & Assets and choose Item Group.
- Select the item group you want to delete, then click the Delete icon.
- A confirmation dialog will appear.
- Click Yes to confirm deletion, or No to cancel.
Managing item group data ensures your inventory system is organized and supports efficient stock management.
