Company Type
The Company Type configuration page allows you to input, update, and delete master company types. Managing company types helps categorize companies for billing, reporting, and operational purposes.
What is a Company Type?
A Company Type is a classification for companies, such as "Corporate," "Travel Agent," "Personal," or other business types. Defining company types helps with account management and reporting.
How to Add a Company Type
- In the Tools menu, click the Configuration submenu, select the Accounting tab, then click the Company Type button to open the window.
- Click the Insert button to add a new company type. A new entry window will appear.
- Enter the following data:
- Code: Unique code for the company type.
- Name: Name of the company type.
- AP Account: Select the Accounts Payable account.
- AR Account: Select the Accounts Receivable account.
- Personal: Mark as active if this is a personal type.
- Sort: Enter the sort order number.
- Click Save to store the new company type, or Close to cancel.
How to Update a Company Type
- In the Tools menu, click the Configuration submenu, select the Accounting tab, then click the Company Type button.
- Select the company type you want to update, right-click, and choose the Update button.
- Enter the new data as needed.
- Click Save to apply the changes, or Close to cancel.
How to Delete a Company Type
- In the Tools menu, click the Configuration submenu, select the Accounting tab, then click the Company Type button.
- Select the company type you want to delete, right-click, and choose the Delete button.
- A confirmation dialog will appear.
- Click Yes to confirm deletion, or No to cancel.
