Currency
The Currency configuration page allows you to input, update, and delete currencies used in transactions. Managing currency data ensures your property can handle multi-currency transactions and accurate financial reporting.
What is a Currency?
A Currency is a system of money in common use, such as USD, EUR, or IDR. Defining currencies allows you to process transactions, set exchange rates, and display prices in different formats.
How to Add a Currency
- In the Tools menu, click the Configuration submenu, select the Accounting tab, then click the Currency button to open the window.
- Click the Insert button to add a new currency. A new entry window will appear.
- Enter the following data:
- Code: Currency code (e.g., USD, EUR, IDR).
- Name: Name of the currency.
- Account: Select the operational account for the currency.
- Exch. Rate: Enter the exchange rate value.
- Symbol: Currency symbol (e.g., $, €, Rp).
- Format: Select the display format for the currency.
- Click Save to store the new currency, or Close to cancel.
How to Update a Currency
- In the Tools menu, click the Configuration submenu, select the Accounting tab, then click the Currency button.
- Select the currency you want to update, right-click, and choose the Update button.
- Enter the new data as needed.
- Click Save to apply the changes, or Close to cancel.
How to Delete a Currency
- In the Tools menu, click the Configuration submenu, select the Accounting tab, then click the Currency button.
- Select the currency you want to delete, right-click, and choose the Delete button.
- A confirmation dialog will appear.
- Click Yes to confirm deletion, or No to cancel.
