Department

The Department configuration page in the Accounting module allows you to input, update, and delete departments within your hotel. Managing department data helps organize your hotel's structure and supports accounting, reporting, and staff management.

What is a Department?

A Department is a functional unit within your hotel, such as Housekeeping, Front Office, Food & Beverage, or Engineering. Defining departments helps with task assignment, cost tracking, and operational management.

How to Add a Department

  1. In the Tools menu, select the Configurations submenu, then search for Department to open the window.
  2. Click the Insert button to add a new department. A new entry window will appear.
  3. Enter the following data:
    • Code: Unique code for the department.
    • Name: Name of the department.
    • Sort: Enter the sort order number.
  4. Click Save to store the new department, or Close to cancel.

Sub Department Configuration (Accounting)

The Sub Department configuration page allows you to input, update, and delete sub departments or outlets within your hotel. Managing sub department data helps organize your hotel's structure, supports accounting, and streamlines operations.

What is a Sub Department?

A Sub Department is a division or outlet under a main department, such as a restaurant, bar, spa, or laundry. Defining sub departments helps with task assignment, cost tracking, and operational management.

How to Add a Sub Department

  1. In the Tools menu, select the Configurations submenu, then search for Sub Department to open the window.
  2. Click the Insert button to add a new sub department. A new entry window will appear.
  3. Enter the following data:
    • Code: Unique code for the sub department.
    • Name: Name of the sub department or outlet.
    • Department: Select the main department this sub department belongs to.
    • Sort: Enter the sort order number.
  4. Click Save to store the new sub department, or Close to cancel.
